Go See Touring invites social indoor bowls players to join players from Australia and New Zealand in Norfolk Island for this fun event.
Day 1 - Friday 6 April 2018 Depart Sydney 9.50am – Arrive Norfolk 1.25pm
Please be at Sydney International Airport at least 2 hours prior to your departure flight. On arrival you need to collect your checked luggage and clear customs and immigration. Once in the main terminal you will be met by our local ground operator – Pinetree Tours and transferred to your accommodation for the next seven nights. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. A car hire will be waiting for you at your accommodation and insurance for one driver has been included. Petrol is payable direct. Dinner is at leisure.
Day 2 – Saturday 7 April 2018 (D) Half Day Orientation TourPinetree Tours Half Day Orientation Tour is a must for every visitor. Visit historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. See and hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches and golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel, local Government laws and lifestyle. Enjoy views from scenic spots on this full commentary conducted tour. Morning tea is included. Your Bowling companions arrive this afternoon from Brisbane and Auckland. Remainder of today is at leisure.
Day 3 - Sunday 8 April 2018 (D) At leisure /Welcome FunctionThis morning is at leisure. You may like to visit the local weekly markets for local crafts and delicious treats.Tonight will be a welcome function and dinner at South Pacific Resort.
Day 4 – Monday 9 April 2018 Round 1 Convict’s ChallengeThe morning is at leisure today and this afternoon is Round 1 of the bias bowls tournament to take place at South Pacific Resort.
Day 5 - Tuesday 10 April 2018 (D) Round 2 Convict’s Challenge /Island Fish FryThis morning is Round 2 of the biasbowls tournament and the afternoon is at leisure today. Late this afternoon enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread and fresh fried fish, followed by Island desserts! Enjoy some local entertainment, on our exclusive private property‘Orn Daa Cliff’ on Norfolk’s western coastline.
Day 6 - Wednesday 11 April 2018 (B) Breakfast Bush Walk / Round 3 Convict’s ChallengeThis morning take your choice of a stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of the walk everyone will meet up on the cliff top for a delicious breakfast barbecue. If you prefer not to rise early and bush walk, but would like to have breakfast on the cliff top, join the walkers at Anson Bay as they return from their walk. The afternoon is Round 3 of the bias bowls tournament.
Day 7 - Thursday 12 April 2018 (D) Finals Convict’s Challenge / Convict’s Challenge Presentation Dinner 2018Today the finals will be played in the bowls competition. Tonight, is a fun night out for all ages. Dress as a convict and join in with the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing and dancing. Dinner will include presentations to all the week’s winners.
Day 8 - Friday 13 April 2018 Depart Norfolk 2.30pm – Arrive Sydney 4.25pm
