Day 1 – Friday 27 July 2018 (B, D) Depart Sydney 9:50AM– Arrive Norfolk 1:20PM/Dinner at Cook’s LandingOn arrival you need to collect your checked luggage and clear customs and immigration. Once in the main terminal you will be met by our local ground operator – Pinetree Tours and transferred to the South Pacific Resort Hotel which will be your home for the next 7 nights. Centrally located in the township of Burnt Pine, South Pacific Resort offers many facilities and is within walking distance to the town centre and restaurants, plus only minutes' drive to the beach and historic Kingston ruins. The comfortable rooms are set in lush sub-tropical gardens with mountain and valley views and offer all the creature comforts that will make your stay one to remember. Enjoy a welcome Tropical fruit cocktail on arrival before checking into your rooms. Tonight is a 2-course dinner at your hotel.
Day 2 – Saturday 28 July 2018 (B, D) Half Day Orientation Tour/Dinner at Local Hotel/Wonderland by NightPinetree Tours Half Day Orientation Tour is a must for every visitor. Visit historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. See and hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches and golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel, local Government laws and lifestyle. Enjoy views from scenic spots on this full commentary conducted tour. Morning tea is included. Lunch today is own arrangements and the rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner tonight is a 2-course dinner at a local hotel. After dinner tonight the setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk pines and bushland lit up like an enchanted forest. Meander along (or ride in the 'moon buggy') a gentle winding path whilst a descendant of one of the Bounty mutineers recites poetry written by local poet Archie Bigg. The dioramas are lit up and the setting is magical. Afterwards enjoy a light supper.
Day 3 – Sunday 29 July 2018 (B, D) Convict Settlement Tour/Murder Mystery DinnerThe morning is at leisure and lunch today is own arrangements. This afternoon join Pinetree Tours on an in-depth tour of the historic Georgian Settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery and hear the history of interesting convict and colonial headstones and hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the new gaol; see the Pier Store, boat shed and the crank mill. Afternoon tea is included. This evening enjoy a 3-course meal fit for the Commandants whilst the mystery unfolds. Meet the Commandant, Clergymen and convicts of this period. True characters from the Second Settlement. Day 4 – Monday 30 July 2018 (B, D) Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama /’A Little Bit Country’Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama is an unforgettable experience. This is one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world and is based on an art form made popular in the 1800's. Walk inside the circular painting and be surrounded by the immense artwork. A spectacular 3D effect is achieved in this painting with its detailed artwork and realistic perspective and the story that traces the history of the Bounty leaving England through Tahiti, Pitcairn Island and arrival at Norfolk Island in 1856. The afternoon is at leisure today and lunch is own arrangements. Tonight, after dinner at one of Norfolk’s hotels, your host performs alongside of Rodney Vincent, Graeme Hugo and Fortunato Isgro. Lucky is one of the founding members of the Australian pop industry and a born entertainer. You’ll also love Rodney with his mix of songs and laughter and Graeme who is one of South Australia’s most hardworking independent artists. He has a great rapport with audiences of all ages and is a real crowd pleaser. And more than a little bit country we have a little bit of wonderful variety from Fortunato Isgro, who is an entertainer from Brisbane renowned for his strong vocals, extensive repertoire and great versatility. A fabulous night’s entertainment is assured.
Day 5 – Tuesday 31 July 2018 (B, D) Tin a Aii Tour/Island Fish Fry
Day 6 – Wednesday 01 August 2018 (B, D) Breakfast Bush Walk/Dinner at Cook’s Landing/Sound and Light ShowThis morning take your choice of a stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. If you prefer not to rise early and bush walk you’ll be picked up a little later and taken to join the walkers at Anson Bay as they return from their walk and where you’ll all enjoy a delicious breakfast barbecue on the clifftop. The rest of the day is at leisure and lunch is own arrangements. Tonight is a 2-course dinner at your hotel. After dinner tonight nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the Convict Settlement. The stillness and the stars are there just as they were before settlers arrived in 1788. With the dramatic use of real life sounds, theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Pinetree Tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era.
Day 7 – Thursday 02 August 2018 (B, D) Behind the Hedges / ‘A Little Bit of Country – A Bit of Shindig’Travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm, which has been instrumental in improving the local livestock industry. Close by see a demonstration at Norfolk’s major pottery and browse at the cottage pottery shop. After a delicious morning tea at a scenic location, walk through one of Norfolk's largest Banyan Trees. Exclusive to Pinetree Tours - visit Sweeties and learn how chocolate is made on Norfolk Island. Tonight enjoy a second show from your hosts for the week – Lucky, Graeme, Fortunato and Rodney. Firstly dinner at one of Norfolk’s great hotels and then the show will follow.
Day 8 – Friday 03 August 2018 (B) Depart Norfolk 2:30PM – Arrive Sydney 4:25PMStandard checkout time applies. Pinetree Tours will collect you and transfer you to Norfolk Airport in time for your departure flight.
