Day 1 – Saturday 13 October 2018 (D) Depart BNE 11:00AM – Arrive NLK 2:15PM / Welcome FunctionOn arrival collect your checked luggage and clear customs and immigration. Once in the main terminal you will be met by our local ground operator – Pinetree Tours and transferred to your accommodation for the next 7 nights. Your rental vehicle will be waiting collection at your accommodation. 1 Car per unit. Enjoy a welcome dinner at one of Norfolk’s hotels where you will meet your fellow Pétanque enthusiasts.
Day 2 – Sunday 14 October 2018 Norfolk Pine Pétanque Cup – Round 1This morning make your way by hire car to the first day of the Norfolk Pine Pétanque Tournament. Enjoy a day of friendly competition as you play against the stunning back drop that is Norfolk Island. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure and lunch and dinner are own arrangements. Pinetree Tours Half Day Orientation Tour is a must for every visitor. Visit historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. See and hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches and golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel, local Government laws and lifestyle. Enjoy views from scenic spots on this full commentary conducted tour. Afternoon tea is included.
Day 3 – Monday 15 October 2018 (D) Norfolk Pine Pétanque Tournament – Round 2 /Progressive DinnerThis morning make your way by hire car to the second day of the Norfolk Pine Pétanque Tournament. Lunch is own arrangements and the afternoon is at leisure. Tonight enjoy a 3-course meal progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes. A fun night and a great way to meet the local people and sample some of the Island dishes.
Day 4 – Tuesday 16 October 2018 (D) Norfolk Pine Pétanque Tournament – Round 3 / Island Fish FryThis morning make your way by hire car to Day 3 of the Norfolk Pine Pétanque Tournament. Lunch is own arrangements and the afternoon is at leisure. Late this afternoon enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread & fresh fried fish, followed by Island desserts & tea or coffee. Enjoy some local entertainment, on our exclusive private property ‘Orn Daa Cliff’ on Norfolk’s western coastline.
Day 5 – Wednesday 17 October 2018 Breakfast BushwalkTake your choice of a stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of the walk we meet on the cliff top for a delicious breakfast barbecue. (We do not recommend this walk to anyone with medical conditions). If you prefer not to rise early and bush walk, but would like to have breakfast on the cliff top, join the walkers at Anson Bay and share in the delicious barbecue breakfast. The rest of the day is at leisure and lunch and dinner are own arrangements.
Day 6 – Thursday 18 October 2018 (D)Norfolk Pine Pétanque Tournament or Touring / Farewell PresentationThis morning enjoy your last game in this year’s Norfolk Pine Pétanque Cup. Lunch is own arrangements and the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Tonight’s farewell dinner is a 3 course meal at one of the local hotels with live local entertainment. To end this week’s friendly competition there will be a presentation of the Norfolk Pines Pétanque Cup to the most deserving team/players.
Day 7 – Friday 19 October 2018 At leisureToday is at leisure to enjoy Norfolk. Sydney and Melbourne passengers depart today.
Day 8 – Saturday 20 October 2018 Depart NLK 3:30PM– Arrive Brisbane 5:10PMStandard checkout time applies today. At leisure until Pinetree Tours collect you and transfer you to Norfolk Airport in time for your departure flight.
