Day 1 – Saturday 06 October 2018 Depart Brisbane 9:10AM – Arrive Singapore 3:30PM – Depart Singapore 5:10PM - Arrive Delhi 8:10PM
Welcome to Delhi. This massive city is the Capital Territory of India and has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. With a population bigger than Australia’s this fascinating city is like a country in itself. We’ll be met at the airport by our local guide and transferred to our hotel to check in. Day 2 Sunday 07 October 2018 (B, D) Delhi
After breakfast today we’ll explore Old and New Delhi. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, the spine of Old Delhi, past jewellers spice merchants, food vendors, shopping arcades, workshops as well as residences. Truly a living museum!. Later proceed to New Delhi visiting the Qutab Minar Complex, visiting a myriad of monuments that combine both Islamic calligraphy and Hindu motifs, commemorating the onset of Islamic rule in India. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, the first great example of Mughal architecture in India and regarded as a prototype of the famed Taj Mahal of Agra.
Day 3– Monday 08 October 2018 (B, D) Udaipur
Today we’ll check out of the hotel and catch a short flight to Udaipur. Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes – or the Venice of the East. It is a popular tourist destination, and known for its history, culture and scenic locations. This evening we’ll take a boat trip on Pichola Lake which is 4-Km long and 3-Km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, palaces, temples, bathing Ghats and embankments. Visit island palace Jag Niwas which is beautifully set in the lake.

After breakfast at our hotel this morning we’ll proceed with a sightseeing tour of Udaipur, a splash of color in Rajasthan that is brighter when tinged with the tones of local lore and legends. Visit the City Palace, built in 1725, which hours the Dilkhush Mahal, Sheesh Mahal - studded with glittering Belgium Mirrors, Moti Mahal and the Palace of Lord Krishna all of which are ornately decorated. Later visit the Jagdish Temple. Later drive around the Fateh Sagar Lake. Also visit the Famous Crystal Gallery. Later Visit Shilpgram: Barely 05 KMS from Udaipur, this rural art and crafts village set amidst natural surroundings consists of 26 huts built by crafts persons drawn from all parts of western India. This is a bazaar full of color & delicately handcrafted wonders.
Day 5 – Wednesday 10 October 2018 (B, L, D) Udaipur - Sardargarh
After breakfast this morning we’ll check-out of the hotel and drive to Sardargarh visiting Ranakpur temples en-route. The Jain temples of Ranakpur built in the 15th Century are situated in the lovely Aravali valley. On arrival in Sardargarh we’ll check into our hotel - one of the magnificent forts of Rajasthan. This afternoon – a village excursion by jeep. Drive to the remote tribal villages near Sardargarh where the local village men and women display of their daily lifestyle. The safari ends with the viewing of a spectacular Sunset against the fort at the Manohar Sagar lake. Accommodation: Sardargarh Fort or similar (2 Nights)
Day 6 – Thursday 11 October 2018 (B, L, D) Aravalli Ranges
This morning you might like to try a yoga session before breakfast. Today we’ll take a day excursion by local train ride into the Aravallis, an adventurous ride with the locals on a rural train into the Aravalli range, s passing through old tunnels from the time of British Raj. Feeding monkeys and a visit to local temples are part of the experience. We’ll return to the hotel by jeep.
Day 7 – Friday 12 October 2018 (B, D) Sardargarh - Jodhpur
A leisurely breakfast this morning followed by checkout from the hotel and we’ll drive to Jodhpur. Today we’ll visit the 5-km long Mehrangarh Fort situated on a 125-mt high hill. This is one of the most impressive and formidable structures in Rajasthan. Within the fort are some magnificent palaces with meticulously carved panels, latticed windows or "Jharokhas" with evocative names. Also visit the Jaswant Thada - a cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble built in 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh-II. Accommodation: Park by Zone or similar (1 Nights)
Day 8 – Saturday 13 October 2018 (B, D) Jodhpur - Pushkar
Today we’ll drive to Pushkar – about 4 hours by road. On arrival we’ll check into our hotel and have some time this afternoon at leisure. This evening we’ll take the “Four Religions in a Mile – Evening Walk” which will explore the 4 prominent religions of India as well as take part in a ceremony at the holy Pushkar Lake. We’ll also walk through the local markets and witness colourful traditional dresses, turban makers, perfumers and craftsmen. Finishing off with a visit to the famous Brahma Temple and a chat with a local priest over a cup of hot tea. Accommodation: Jagat Palace or similar (1 Nights).
Day 9 – Sunday 14 October 2018 (B, D) Pushkae - Jaipur
Today after a leisurely breakfast we’ll travel to Jaipur – about 2 or 3 hours by road. Once we’ve checked into our hotel the afternoon is free to explore the colourful local markets. In the evening, enjoy a hand-on culinary session with a local Indian family to learn secrets of some famous Indian dishes and enjoy dinner with the host family. Accommodation: Park Regis or similar (3 Nights)
Day 10 – Monday 15 October 2018 (B, D) Jaipur
After breakfast at hotel proceed with half day tour to Amber fort with a jeep ride. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual paradise. This afternoon visit Maharaja’s City palace, the former royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. Built in the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh in area of the city.
Day 11 - Tuesday 16 October 2018 (B, D) Jaipur
The morning is at leisure today. Late this afternoon we’ll take a walking tour. Jaipur offers a dazzling immersion into the riches of traditional India. Since its foundation in 1727, royal family and nobles of Jaipur had been patronizing various craftsmen and artisans in Pink City. Traditional methods are still used to produce valuable and highly prized items. On this fascinating evening walking Tour mingle and talk with locals whilst sampling some of the regions culinary delights. Observe local artisans like Silversmiths, Bangle makers at work…It’s a great way to explore Jaipur like locals do and learn about rich art traditions of this fascinating city.
Day 12 – Wednesday 17 October 2018 (B, D) Jaipur - Agra
Today we’ll drive to Agra – about 5-6 hours away. En-route we’ll visit the ruins of 8th century at Abhaneri including a stepwell and later stop at 15th century Fatehpur Sikri. Once in Agra we’ll check into our hotel. Accommodation: Clarks Shiraz or similar (2 Nights).
Day 13 – Thursday 18 October 2018 (B, L, D) Taj Mahal
This morning a sunrise tour of the world-famous Taj Mahal. Perhaps no other symbol epitomizes India as Taj Mahal. Situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, the Taj Mahal is an epitome of love, a poem in marble by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is entirely made of white marble and its walls are decorated with exquisite pietra dura (stone inlay) work. This magnificent monument is set around a Charbagh or 'four garden' plan, which is split by watercourses-a reflection of the Persian style. Returning to the hotel for breakfast we’ll later visit Agra Fort - Built by Emperor Akbar on the west bank of the river Yamuna and beautified with palaces and gardens by Jahangir, Agra Fort today dominates the center of the city.
Day 14 – Friday 19 October 2018 (B, L) Depart Jaipur/Depart Delhi 9:55PM
